This week is the week I got back into the swing of things. We had received a bunch of Publix $5/30 coupons so we definitely wanted to start using those we had 5 transactions in one trip to Publix. We split the items into 5 transactions so we could use a store coupon for $10 off a $50 gas gift card when you spend $25.
Since gas does not count in my grocery budget,
I spent $22.13 and saved an average of 79.67%
I definitely met my goal of $50/week. How did you do?
Another slower week, and only one trip to Kroger but it was a really great trip for me! I only had 2 things I HAD to buy this week which were the free butterfingers and the nearly free rice.
So I spent $7.92 and saved an average of 94.18%
A great week in my opinion I definitely stayed within my $50/week goal.
Happy Couponing!
After Italian Days I was wiped out, and this week reflected that. I just made a trip to Costco.
I spent a total of $20.57 and saved 0%.
My spending total was well within budget but my savings percentage definitely isn’t where I like it. However I will say that I estimate shopping at the wholesale clubs as a 30% savings off of grocery store prices just in the fact of buying in bulk.
Here is my recap for February:
Week 1: $62.60
Week 2: $43.07
Week 3: $20.57
Total spent for February was $126.24 that’s well within my $200/month goal. YAY (Yes it helps February was a short month!)
Happy Couponing
This week was a pretty great week! We scored lots of overage which helped pay for some items that we didn’t get on sale. Lots of items at 80% to over 100% off! Plus I was finally BELOW my weekly goal of $50.
I spent $43.07 and saved an average of 81.45%
I’ve already started shopping in the current week and it looks like it will be a slow one which is good. I’m enjoying time spent with my family and my sister who is in town visiting.
Happy Shopping!!
Well I delivered the baby two weeks ago and we’re completely in love with her! I have been able to get some couponing done with the little one in tow. She is a couponing princess.
This week was the start of Italian Days at Publix and the coupons were abundant, and the deals were amazing! I was able to replenish my canned goods stockpile as well as adding a little extra for our emergency preparations.
So I spent $62.60 and saved an average of 75.26%
Over all a very successful week and I’m happy to see my stockpile & emergency food storage is starting to fill up.
How was your week of shopping?
This week we probably had one of our most successful weeks couponing, then I had to go make use of my Costco items and it pushed me over budget and significantly reduced our percentage of savings.
We ended up getting a bunch of product for free which was awesome. Thankfully we were able to get all our outstanding rain checks redeemed before the baby comes. I anticipate her arrival this week (we’ll see though).
I spent $101.55 and saved an average of 64.66%
The $40.87 at Costco really got me this week!
Here is my recap for January:
Week 1: $59.42
Week 2: $55.90
Week 3: $63.93
Week 4: $101.55
Total for the month: $280.80 That’s a bit over my goal of $200 for the month. Hopefully next month I will be more on target.
This week was a BIG week for us and we still have outstanding rain checks to be used. We ended up just ordering the items from the Customer Service ladies so we could finally get the rest of our dishwasher detergent, mac & cheese, popcorn, etc.
This week other than rain checks looks like a pretty simple week. I’m liking that a lot as I don’t feel like busting my butt this week for deals LOL.
I spent $63.93 and saved an average of 75.21%
So far I’ve been slightly over my weekly goal of $50 but I’m content with how things are going. I also anticipate a few weeks of little to no shopping once the baby is born so things will definitely balance out.
So how was your week? Did you save a bunch of money? What’s on your shopping list for this week?
As you may or may not know the Atlanta area got hit with 6 inches of snow and then ice on top of that, the city pretty much shut down for 4 complete days. We had a hard time getting out of the neighborhood until Friday.
So as a result my shopping either didn’t happen or I pushed my Publix trip into the next week (YAY for Publix sales ending midweek!!) This week was a pretty slow week and I didn’t get out to the store except to Kroger yesterday after our trip to the chiropractor.
That being said I did manage to spend my budget! I scored a tremendous deal on paper towels at Staples the final price was approximately 50 cents per roll!! I had to order 90 rolls….that might be my whole year’s supply (we’ll see), they certainly were cheaper than any Costco sale price. Recently I had a meeting in the household communicating how we needed to conserve our paper towel usage as I didn’t want to pay the $1+ per roll to Costco anytime soon and we were running low. God really blessed us with this deal.
I spent $55.90 and saved an average of 52.20%
How did you do this week? Were you snowed in like me? I’m gearing up tonight putting together my massive shopping list for next week. I should have quite the long list for next week. Including a bunch of free items too!!
My husband and I worked out a new budget this year since I’m now happily staying at home with the kiddo (soon to be kiddos). My main focus of course is the grocery and household portion of the budget. We set a goal of $50 per week or $200 per month. We set this goal based on postings and averages shared by Michelle at I Heart Publix. Michelle’s site is my absolute favorite for weekly match ups and info on the hottest coupon deals. She has a sister site called I Heart Kroger and I Heart Saving Money
This was my first week shopping with my new goal. I’m super proud of myself for getting so close to our goal.
I spent $58.25 and saved an average of 72.93%!!
Currently I shop for up to 3 households plus we try and get food for donations throughout the year. Here is a look at what we purchased during the week including all the stores we visited.
I hope to post my weekly totals a bit more timely in the future. We will see how things go once the baby gets here. I’m not sure how much shopping I will be doing. Or how successful I will be with two kids in tow.
Happy Couponing!!
