I’m super busy right now preparing myself and part of our home for the start of our first year of homeschooling! I’ve been collecting workbooks and teacher aids for a year or so now. I found this great Discover Kids Microscope at a thrift store this week. I had a sweet microscope as a kid that I loved exploring with and I’m sure my five year old will enjoy this one too.
It is missing some of the extras but the functionality is all there, and for $.85 it was definitely worth taking the risk!! A great score for our homeschool classroom.
Do you enjoy thrifting? What are your latest finds?

Lately my 4 year old son has been asked numerous times while out and about with Grandma or myself how old he was and if he went to school.
The first couple of times he's been confused how to answer the school part of the question. Grandma or I have had to explain that he will be home schooled next year.
It is cute though to see him answer this question on his own now. He will say I'm 4 and my school is at home! He is excited and proud that I will be his teacher next year (as am I).
In the next few months I will be doing more and more research and sharing more too on what I find and discover about home schooling, also I plan to share the why to my decision to home school too. Eventually I will be sharing much more on this blog about our day to day achievements and my challenges.
Right now I want to share a couple blogs that I currently follow under the topic of Home Schooling:
Do you home school? Do you have any tips / suggestions / resources you'd like to share? I'd love to get some feedback from you all!
